It’s Fiber Fest Week in Allegan!

The 2026 Michigan Fiber Festival runs August 12–16 at the Allegan County Fairgrounds, and if you’re making plans for the week, there’s one important thing to know:

The workshops and the vendor marketplace do not begin on the same day.

So we thought we’d make it easy.

Wednesday, August 12 & Thursday, August 13

Workshop Days — But The Bear & Fox Is Open!

Classes at the Michigan Fiber Festival begin Wednesday, with workshops running throughout Wednesday and Thursday.

But the vendor marketplace at the fairgrounds doesn’t open until Friday.

That means if you’re coming into Allegan early for a class, you don’t have to wait until Friday to start your yarn shopping.

The Bear & Fox Yarn Den™ will be open:

Wednesday: 11am–7pm
Thursday: 11am–7pm

Need something for tomorrow’s class?

We’re just a short trip from the fairgrounds in downtown Allegan, with a shop full of yarn, fiber, tools, project inspiration, and plenty of places to sit in air conditioning for a bit before heading back to the festival.

Friday, August 14

Workshops + Festival Shopping Begin

Friday is when the full Fiber Fest shopping experience gets underway.

Michigan Fiber Festival workshops:
Morning half-day: 9am–noon
Afternoon half-day: 1–4pm
Full-day: 9am–4pm
Evening workshops: 6–9pm

Fiber Festival vendor shopping:
10am–5pm

The Bear & Fox Yarn Den™:
11am–7pm

When the fairgrounds vendors close at 5, your yarn day doesn’t have to be over.

Head downtown and keep exploring with us until 7.

Saturday, August 15

The Big Day

Saturday is the full Fiber Fest experience, with workshops, vendors, demonstrations, competitions, animals and fiber lovers filling the fairgrounds.

Workshops: 9am–4pm
Vendor shopping: 10am–5pm

And when the marketplace closes:

The Bear & Fox Yarn Den™ stays open until 7pm.

Come decompress from the festival, show us what you found, discover something you missed, or simply settle into The Den for a little while.

Sunday, August 16

One More Day of Fiber

There’s still plenty happening Sunday.

Workshops: 9am–4pm
Vendor shopping: 10am–4pm

And while the festival marketplace wraps up at 4:

The Bear & Fox Yarn Den™ will be open 11am–7pm.

So before you point the car toward home, make one last stop in downtown Allegan.
