There’s something especially lovely about learning together — asking questions, making discoveries, and realizing that patterns (and projects) don’t have to feel mysterious.
We’ve got three upcoming classes at The Bear & Fox Yarn Den, each designed to help you build confidence, skills, and a little creative courage — whether you’re just getting started or ready to try something new.
Reading Crochet Patterns with Drew (The Crochet Dude)
Ever open a pattern and feel like it’s written in another language? You’re not alone. In this class, I’ll walk you through how to read crochet patterns — line by line, symbol by symbol — so you can approach projects with clarity instead of guesswork. We’ll talk abbreviations, repeats, chart basics, and how to spot the parts that really matter. Perfect for crocheters who are ready to break free from step-by-step tutorials and explore on their own.
Intro to Crochet with Justin
If you’ve been crochet-curious but didn’t know where to start, this is your moment. Justin will guide you through the foundations — holding the hook, making stitches, and building muscle memory — all in a relaxed, encouraging setting. No pressure, no prior experience required, just a welcoming place to learn the basics and start something new.
Entrelac Scarf with Lindsey
Ready to stretch your skills? Lindsey’s project-based Entrelac Scarf class is a wonderful way to explore this eye-catching technique. You’ll learn how Entrelac works step by step while creating a scarf that looks far more complex than it actually is. It’s a great confidence-builder and a fantastic introduction to thinking about construction in a new way.
As always, space is limited so we can keep classes cozy, supportive, and hands-on. If one of these speaks to you, we’d love to have you join us at The Den.

See you soon — hooks, needles, yarn, and all.
